I’m sure you all know how frustrating it is to walk out of a store or restaurant and have absolutely no idea where you parked your car. I’ve done this too many times to count..

Now there’s help. A project by Kickstarter, called Find My Car Smart, helps you find your car using Bluetooth 4.0 technology. All you have to do is download the app for $0.99 and buy the USB-based Bluetooth proximity adapter. The adapter plugs into your 12-volt outlet and once you plug it in, you don’t have to do anything. It automatically remembers your parking spot.

Unfortunately, this product is in the process of being produced right now. The company says it won’t start selling the adapter devices until they meet their funding goal. They predict they will start production in January.

Sprint To Carry iPhone 5

A report in the Wall Street Journal says Sprint will begin selling the iPhone 5 in mid-October. There hasn’t been an offical annoucement from Apple or Sprint. The Wall Street Journal is citing an unnamed source familiar with the matter. For the full read in the WSJ click here.

FBI Release Child ID App

The FBI has just released an app called Child ID. This app would come in handy if you child would ever happen to be missing. According to an FBI press release, the app “provides a convenient place to electronically store photos and vital information about your children so that it’s literally right at hand if you need it. You can show the pictures and provide physical identifiers such as height and weight to security or police officers on the spot. Using a special tab on the app, you can also quickly and easily e-mail the information to authorities with a few clicks.”

This app not only holds important information about the user’s child or children, it also gives a list of tips that you could follow if your child goes missing. Hopefully you’ll never have to use this app, but this app could save precious time if your child disappears.

Will There be a White iPod Touch?

Rumor has it that there may be a white iPod Touch on the way. Since Apple usually releases a new iPod each year, but hasn’t released one yet, this new iPod Touch could be coming soon- possibly as soon as September! According to Apple Insider, this iPod may not have many changes except the color. The earthquake that hit Japan back in March is still affecting the production of Apple products.

Remember, this is only a rumor, so a white iPod Touch may or may not be real. To me, though, this seems like something that could be a definite possibility!

AT&T Selling $9 iPhone

AT&T is now offering a refurbished iPhone 3GS for just $9 with a two-year contract. A refurbished iPhone is one that was pre-owned and was returned to AT&T within the 30-day grace period. The refurbished phones are tested before they are available for sale and are reset to their factory standards.

You can also still get a new iPhone 3GS for just $49, and the iPhone 4 is just $199 with a two-year contract. Everything’s available on AT&T’s website.

Apple Offering Unlocked iPhone 4

If you have been wanting to buy an unlocked iPhone, you don’t have to be sneaky to do it anymore. Apple is now offering unlocked iPhone 4s from their website and stores. A 16GB iPhone 4 will cost you $649 and a 32 GB iPhone 4 will cost you $749. For some, the price might be a deal-breaker, but for those of you who travel internationally quite often, this may be a great purchase. If you travel out of the country often, you will be able to use this iPhone by switching the SIM card to a service provider available in the country you’re in, which means you’ll pay less than you would with a regular iPhone 4 running on AT&T or Verizon.

Wireless Charging for the iPhone 5

I’ve heard lots of iPhone 5 rumors, but wireless charging is definitely a new one. A new Apple patent shows that wireless charging may be something that is a possibility for the iPhone 5.

When I say “wireless charging,” I don’t mean the wireless charging devices that are on the market today, I mean real, wireless charging. Apple’s patent shows that charging technology could be built into computers, allowing charging for any devices that are within a certain radius of the computer. In the patent, Apple talks about near field magnetic resonance (NFMR) output technology and using it to charge devices that are within a one meter range of the computer.

Apple also included in the patent a solution for those who have older computers, but still want to use this technology. They are planning on building special dongles that will plug into a USB port, and voilà, you have NFMR technology to charge your wireless devices.

The Lark Alarm System is a new type of product that only wakes one person in the morning. If you go to Lark’s website, you can read information about the product. The Lark Alarm system is a “silent alarm.” Wait, what? Silent? The user of this system wears a bracelet on their arm that vibrates when the alarm is set to go off in the morning, waking only the person using it. If the person wearing the bracelet happens to take it off during the night or the battery on the bracelet dies, there’s a back up alarm that goes off like a normal alarm on your iPhone.

By downloading the corresponding app, users can view and monitor their sleep cycles. It shows how well you slept on a scale of 1-10 and it also shows how many times you woke during the night. “Giving people an understanding of how they sleep naturally motivates them to sleep better,” said Julia Hu, the creator of this product.
