Ebay has released an updated version if it’s iPhone application. This upgrade is just what christmas shoppers will want and will allow the users to compare prices while shopping.

Ebay mobile apps have been extremely helpful to buyers and sellers with nearly 30 million items having been bought or sold by using these apps since the 2008.

Anatomy App

I am a college student and this past year I had to learn a lot about human anatomy. The picture I saw of the app was of the bones of the skull- which I had to learn, so this app really got my attention. I wish I could have had this app to help me study and to do better in my Anatomy class.

Netter’s Anatomy Flash Cards would have been a great way to make my Anatomy class a lot easier. The pictures are the same ones that are used in the Netter’s Atlas of Human Anatomy, and they review areas of origin and insertion, action, innervation, and anatomical relevance. More than 300 images are available, including 84 for the head and neck and 24 for the back and spinal cord. Flash cards are also available for a great learning experience. You can teach yourself and learn at your own pace in Study Mode and you can also quiz yourself to see how you’re doing in Quiz Mode.

The app is a little pricey at $39.99, but according to MacLife Magazine, “[t]his venerable tool for medical students is reproduced faithfully, with new, helpful features. It’s nearly indispensable for medical students of all levels.” Netter’s Anatomy Flash Cards app seems like it would be worth the extra money to me.

An App for Bird Lovers

If you love watching birds, your iPhone could have the perfect app for you. The Audubon Guide app allows you to have over 2,300 bird calls at your fingertips. Also available is a search tool that allows you to search for birds by their shape, scientific and common names, color, size, range, families, and habitat.

Another feature added to this app is a GPS enabled sighting list. It allows you to indicate where you’ve seen a certain bird or other animal by using the iPhone’s GPS capabilities. This acquired information is then available to be synced with a sightings list that is updated on this app’s website.

March Madness App for iPhone

There’s good news for college basketball fans. Well, there’s good news IF you own an iPhone (or iPod). For the second year, CBS Interactive released the March Madness application which delivers live video, radio, & highlights of the 2010 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship.

The price is higher this year (at $9.99) but that’s probably because it’s bigger and better! This year’s app now supports live streaming over 3G, EDGE and Wi-Fi connections. If $9.99 is a little steep, they are offering a lite version for free which gives you video live scores from every game, game highlights, and comprehensive news coverage of both the conference tournaments and NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship.

If you’re a FaceBook and Twitter fan (like me) you will be happy to know that you’ll be able to log into Facebook and Twitter and connect with your friends via the app.

Coverage begins with the NCAA Basketball Championship Selection Show on March 14 and continues with every game from the first round of the tournament through the semifinals and championship of the Men’s Final Four.

The only bad part about all of this…the iPad won’t be available until April 3^rd!

The Price Is Right For iPhones?

As long as I can remember, I have loved The Price Is Right! It was always there for me when I was sick and had to stay home from school. To this day, hearing “come on down!” just makes me feel better. So, when the entertainment company, Ludia and Fremantle Media Enterprises, released Price is Right 2010 App today, I couldn’t download it fast enough!

The Price Is Right 2010 is available for $4.99 from the Apple App Store on iPhone and iPod touch.

Elmo Has an App for That

I’m a proud aunt of two little boys who LOVE Elmo. So, I was pretty excited to read about the new Elmo app. My two little guys are… how you say this right… rambunctious! So at times, while giving my sister the night off, my husband and I can run out of things to, in order to keep them entertained. To be perfectly honest…I can use all the help I can get!

The only problem I have come across, so far, is that I started downloading the app about 15 minutes ago and as of right now…it’s still downloading! This is a new record considering the apps I usually download take less than a minute!

5 minutes later…

OK, so the app finally loaded and I have to admit…It’s pretty cool! It’s got me cracking up!

$3.99 to download to get this app. Keeping two adorable but energetic boys happy while inline at Wal-Mart…PRICELESS!!
