Affordable iPhone insurance for accidental damage and theft
About InsuranceForiPhones.Com After my 3rd broken or stolen iPhone (I only blame myself) it was time to find some insurance. I thought about insurance after my 2nd drop but couldn't find an affordable option. Then I found Worth Ave. Group. I paid 63 dollars for the policy, half the price of squaretrade. When my phone was stolen afterward they replaced it for just a 50 dollar deductible. So for 113 dollars, I got a brand new iPhone. Since I wasn't eligible for an upgrade with AT&T, it was going to cost 500 for a new phone! On ebay it was at least 600 for a new 16GB iPhone 3GS. You do the math! And THAT is why I started this site. Hopefully I'll save some of you from having a broken phone and no insurance!

Despite everything that has happened with the iPhone 4 since its release, a recent survey determined that it is the highest ranked Smartphone in reliability. Only 2.1% of iPhone users encountered a non-accident related malfunction in the first year they had their phone. According to this survey, the biggest reason iPhones of any generation have problems is because of accidental damage. That sounds like a great reason to get iPhone insurance from Worth Ave. Group because accidental damage is covered. Check out the information about Worth Ave. Group’s insurance here!

There is a great iPhone app from BeenVerified.com that has been very popular lately that allows you to see information about local registered sex offenders. When you use this app, you can see sex offenders’ names, their addresses how far away from you they live, and their offense(s). It’s not the first app of its kind but it is the first to have an augmented reality feature. The augmented reality feature allows you to hold your iPhone up and see the addresses of registered sex offenders in whichever direction you turn your iPhone. The information that is provided to you from the augmented reality feature is shown to you on a Google map. The app only works on iPhones 3G and 4 running iOS4. It is $1.99 and five percent of all proceeds will be donated to the Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network (RAINN).

Many iPhone customers had hoped the white iPhone 4 would be available in time for Christmas but no matter how good you were this year you won’t find the white iPhone 4 in your stocking on Christmas morning. Apple has delayed the release of the white iPhone 4 until the Spring of 2011. Earlier this week the Apple Store iPhone app appeared to offer the option to reserve a white iPhone 4 but by late Tuesday the option was no longer available. Apple has not released the reason for the delay except to mention the white model is more challenging to make than originally thought.
So you current and future iPhone users who were anxiously waiting for the highly anticipated white iPhone 4 will have to wait longer.

As many of you know, the iPhone 4 has it’s share of problems. Users reported yellow spots on the screen, no signal when holding the iPhone a certain way, and now users are talking about how breakable the glass on the front and back is. Steve Jobs, CEO of Apple, Inc., claims the new glass on the iPhone 4 is “20 times stiffer and 30 times harder than plastic.” Sounds pretty good, right?
Wrong. Many users have reported the glass back shattering after a fall from a short height. A recent study shows that the glass on the iPhone 4 is more than 80% more likely to shatter or crack than previous iPhone models.
This is where Worth Ave. Group saves the day. They are the least expensive and most reliable insurer available. They cover any accidental breaks or cracks on your iPhone- which is perfect for the iPhone 4. Check out their website here!

The app store now has an iPhone app that will wake you up in the morning when you are the most rested. All you have to do is open the Sleep Cycle app, plug your iPhone in, and place it screen down next to your pillow. Because the iPhone has a built-in accelerometer, it monitors your movement while you sleep. The app can then determine which sleep phase you’re in and can pick the best time to wake you up within 30 minutes before or after an alarm time you set. The app is only $0.99 in the app store so try it out today!

Check out this video! A man and his son sent an iPhone into space with just a take-out container, some hand warmers, insulation, and a weather balloon. This video is just seven of the 100 minutes that the iPhone took, but it’s pretty amazing.

A few weeks ago, I wrote about the TomTom iPhone app. Well, now I have more news about the app.
A new update to the TomTom iPhone app allows you to navigate to the location of geo-tagged photos. With the new version 1.5 of the TomTom app, all you have to do is tap on a geo-tagged photo and TomTom will immediately take you to where the photo was taken. It is available for the iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad with iOS 3.0 or higher.
TomTom said, “You no longer need to enter an address to get going. What you see is where you’ll go.”

Energizer has just released a new case for the iPhone 4. It’s called the AP1201 and it doubles as a battery pack. It has been proven to nearly double the battery life of the iPhone. It shows the status of the external battery with LED lights on the back of the case. The case itself can be recharged up to 500 times with its own charging cable. You can charge the case and the iPhone separately or at the same time while the case is on the iPhone 4.
The case is made of recycled silicone rubber and has a bumper that will help solve the antennagate issue that has been swirling around the iPhone 4. The AP1201 case is shipping now for $70. Buy it here!
If you’re going green, here are two great cases for you.
They’re called the EcoShield and the EcoShield+. Agent 18, the company that makes them, promises that in each case that they make, there is at least one recycled plastic bottle. The “+” in the name of the EcoShield+ just means that there is a kickstand on the back, as shown in the picture. It’s only 5 extra bucks, so I’d say the kickstand is worth it, and it comes in very handy, too.
If you’re going to go green in any aspect, you’ll have to spend a little more money. It’s the same situation with these cases. The EcoShield is $34.95 and the EcoShield+ is going to cost a little extra, priced at $39.95. You can buy them here.
