Affordable iPhone insurance for accidental damage and theft
About InsuranceForiPhones.Com After my 3rd broken or stolen iPhone (I only blame myself) it was time to find some insurance. I thought about insurance after my 2nd drop but couldn't find an affordable option. Then I found Worth Ave. Group. I paid 63 dollars for the policy, half the price of squaretrade. When my phone was stolen afterward they replaced it for just a 50 dollar deductible. So for 113 dollars, I got a brand new iPhone. Since I wasn't eligible for an upgrade with AT&T, it was going to cost 500 for a new phone! On ebay it was at least 600 for a new 16GB iPhone 3GS. You do the math! And THAT is why I started this site. Hopefully I'll save some of you from having a broken phone and no insurance!
Last June, the iPhone 4 was released. The white iPhone 4 was delayed a few times due to some problems that Apple never clearly stated. Some thought the problems were with the white paint having an effect on the camera when the flash was being used. There have been rumors all over the internet lately about the white iPhone 4 finally being released, and just a few days ago, an executive from Apple may have confirmed this rumor. Phillip Schiller, Apple Senior Vice President of Worldwide Product Marketing, stated on his Twitter account “the white iPhone will be available this spring (and it is a beauty!).”
I’d say that’s a pretty good hint that we’re going to see the white iPhone soon. What do you think?
On Friday, Apple released the iPad 2. Also released on the same day was the Smart Case for the iPad 2. The Smart Case is a cover for the iPad 2 that was developed to work just with the iPad 2. It attaches to the iPad 2 with magnets and protects the screen. But it’s not just a cover. It’s a stand for using the keyboard and FaceTime. When you cover the iPad with the Smart Case, the case puts the iPad to sleep, and when you take the cover off, the iPad wakes up. If you go to Apple’s website, you can see everything the Smart Case can do.
You can order the Smart Case from the Apple Store now. It comes in 10 colors- 5 made of polyurethane colors and 5 made of leather. The polyurethane cases are $39 and the leather cases are $69.
Here’s a video so you can see just how awesome this case really is.
There are pictures all over the internet of what seems to be the new iPhone that will be released this summer- the iPhone 5. Rumors have been saying that the iPhone 5 will have a bigger 4-inch screen instead of the 3.5-inch screen on the older models. Apple is doing this to compete with its competitors, and the picture definitely shows a larger screen. You can see that the screen goes all the way out to the edges and is also taller, stretching closer to the home button and the earpiece/front-facing camera than the previous iPhone models. Also, there are some clues that point to an A5 processor- the same processor that Apple just put in the new iPad 2.
We’ll just have to wait until June to find out if this is all true!
There are millions of blind people living in the United States. When they have pay for something with cash, it is very difficult for them because the all of the US dollar bills are the same size. The only way to tell the difference between a $1 bill and a $100 bill is to look at it.
Well, a company called LookTel is changing things up a bit. They just came up with an app that uses the camera on the iPhone or iPod Touch to identify and say aloud which bill is showing on the screen in real-time. The app doesn’t require an internet connection, so you can use the app anywhere, anytime. Check out the video below.
This app is only $1.99 and is available for download now!
CBS Sports just announced that Apple has a new app available called NCAA March Madness On Demand. Last year during the tournament, Apple had an app available that allowed users to watch March Madness live, but it cost $9.99. So this year, you can check out whatever March Madness basketball game you want- all for free.
The app is available for the iPhone and iPod Touch, but there is also an app made specifically for the iPad.
The reason they made this app free this year is to target younger viewers. According to Michael Adamson, vice president of Time Warner, Inc said ,“We want people using the product with these companion views while they’re watching it on TV. If that’s the case, that’s a success in our minds, because that’s a good consumer experience and a larger aggregate audience as a result.”
You can download the app in the app store today. It’s all completely free- enjoy March Madness! .
